2023-24 SINGING ASSESSMENTS
We are thrilled that you’re interested in joining us for singing. Each concert season, we hold assessments in September. If you’re a singer aged 14 or older residing in the greater Venice area, we’re eager to hear from you – especially if you’re a tenor or bass!
Potential singers should be able to read music or learn quickly by rote. Our primary focus is on vocal tone, blending capabilities (without excessive vibrato), pitch maintenance, as well as listening and reading proficiencies. AND, we have fun making music!
What’s the assessment process like?
You will sing a few scales and exercises, sight read, and sing the melody of MY COUNTRY ‘TIS OF THEE (click here) and meet our Artistic Director/Conductor Brent Douglas.
How can you schedule an assessment?
Complete the Assessment Form (click here) and email it to info@thevenicechorale.org by September 13, We will reach out to you to confirm the details.
